Investor Relations

Roland Dominicé, Chief Executive Officer.
Prior to co-founding Symbiotics, Roland worked for BlueOrchard Finance as their CFO for three years, as well as for PricewaterhouseCoopers in Geneva in management consulting, for McKesson in San Francisco in corporate finance, and for UBS Switzerland in institutional asset management. He holds a master’s degree in International Relations from the Graduate Institute (IHEID) in Geneva and a master’s degree in Social Sciences from the University of Chicago.
Fabio Sofia, Director.
Fabio joined Symbiotics as its first employee and was successively investment analyst, regional manager and client relationship manager. Prior to joining Symbiotics, he worked for the Human Rights Policy section of the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs and for LODH & Cie, a Swiss private bank, as a project manager. Fabio holds a master’s degree in International Relations from the Graduate Institute (IHEID) in Geneva as well as a certificate of advanced studies in Portfolio Management from the University of Geneva.
Geremy Birchard, Senior Manager, Private Equity.
Geremy joined Symbiotics in 2009 and served as Africa Regional Manager for three years. Prior to this, he worked at FINCA International, holding various management positions including board positions at FINCA's affiliate programs in Africa and Eurasia and served as the Managing Director of FINCA Zambia. Before this, he was a Portfolio Manager at a boutique investment fund in the USA specializing in asset backed securities. Geremy holds a bachelor of science in Finance from the University of California at Berkeley.
Luca Tosi, Senior Manager.
Prior to joining Symbiotics, Luca cumulated over 26 years of experience as an adviser for investments in the financial markets for institutional clients and was the developer of the client bases for several of Geneva’s private banks such as Mirabaud, LODH & Cie and Pictet. He is a member of the Finra and holds the Licence of Registered Regional Representative. He holds a business degree from the Cantonal School in Bellinzona, Ticino and a psychology degree from the University of Geneva.
Philipp Jung, Senior Advisor, Structured Finance.
Philipp currently works as an adviser to our structured finance activities, which he led from 2005 until 2007. Previously, he worked for Standard & Poor’s in London as an associate on credit derivative transactions. He also held structured finance positions at the European Investment Fund (EIB group) and was a consultant for the Swiss government agency, SECO, on emerging markets securitizations. Philipp holds a master’s degree in Economics from the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland and a CEMS-Master in International Management at the Norwegian School of Economics.
