Over 180 people from Switzerland and beyond, including staff, directors and shareholders but primarily clients and investors, attended Symbiotics' Investor Knowledge Sharing Day 2012 on May 2nd in Geneva, which covered much of the company's new activities in the wider space of emerging sustainable investments.

The main objective of the event was to gather a large spectrum of traditional investors and share with them on the newest developments in the industry, presenting and getting feedback on Symbiotics' approach of the market in 2012. The event included external speakers, such as impact investing managers at Credit Suisse, Lombard Odier and UBS or large pension fund managers such as Nest and Fundo in Switzerland. In particular, the company kicked off the day by presenting its new fund of fund in partnership with Gonet & Cie - Banquier Privés: Symbitoics Sicav - Emerging Sustainable Funds. Symbiotics also shared its field experience during a lunch presentation given by its regional managers, and headed small workshop discussions on key topics, including forex strategies, pension funds strategies, listed equities and listed bonds in the area of impact investing.

Fabio Sofia, Head of Investor Relations remarks: "We were really pleased to see so many people coming from the traditional banking industry interested in microfinance and impact investing. We were able to give a larger view point of this growing asset class with the addition of larger banks joining us in the panels and discussions to stress the importance of moving into these markets and creating opportunity in sustainable development for investors. The excellent turnout and diversity allowed for some very interesting exchanges."
